Cabin Rental Policy

RENTAL POLICY AND PAYMENT. Charter Captain and Co-Captain must be at least 21 years old and have a valid state issued driver’s license to rent a boat or cabin. Rental fees plus the security/damage deposit must be paid in full at least 75 days prior to arrival date. Payment for deposits, rentals, fuel and supplies may be made by VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or cash. A check will be issued for any refundable cash payment. No cash refunds will be made.

DEPOSITS.
SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT. A security deposit “secures” the reservation and is applied as the damage deposit.  Deposits are as follows:
Queen/Queen I/Queen II $1000.00
Presidential/Senator/Executive $700
Wakeboard Boat $500.00
Cabin/Patio Boat/Fishing Boat $200.00

DAMAGE DEPOSIT. A $200 damage deposit is required for all rentals prior to occupancy.
Damage deposits can be made by cash or credit card. NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Deposits will be kept in total, or in part, if cabins or other boats are returned damaged, unclean or without complete inventory. The deposit will be refunded less any charges for extensive cleaning, damages or loss of inventory items, or charged to the credit card on file if deposit is insufficient to cover damages.

CANCELLATION. There is a full refund on reservations cancelled 5 days or less from the date of booking if the reservation is made at least 75 days prior to the arrival date. 50% of the reservation deposit is refundable if cancelled in writing 75 days or more prior to your arrival date. Cancellations 46 to 74 days before arrival date will result in forfeiture of full deposit. Entire rental fee will be retained if cancelled within 45 days to your arrival date.

FORM OF PAYMENT. Payment for deposits, rentals, fuel and supplies may be made by cash, VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. Credit card payments are processed when received. Personal checks are only accepted to be applied towards the rental fee.

TAXES AND FEES: Published nightly rates are not inclusive of applicable sales tax, and additional fees may be applied at the time of booking.

REPAIR & REFUND POLICY: Silverthorn Resort is committed to making your vacation as trouble free as possible. This can only happen if we are made aware of any problem at the time it occurs. Should you experience failure of any kind, please notify the resort immediately.
Refunds are not given for inconveniences due to cabin malfunction including but not limited to weather conditions, power outages, water outages, mechanical failure of appliances, electronics, plumbing, heating, or a/c units.

AVAILABILITY: Guest understands that the availability of a specific cabin cannot be guaranteed and Silverthorn Resort may find it necessary to move Guest to a comparable cabin rental.

CHECK-IN: Check-In is between 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. May-Sept and between 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Oct-April.

CHECK-OUT: The cabin must be cleaned and renter must be checked-out no later than 11:00 a.m. on the departure date.
Check-out Procedures: Upon departure guests are required to leave the property in the same general condition at was when they arrived. Please comply with the following before check-out:

NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE FOR LATE ARRIVAL OR EARLY DEPARTURE. SILVERTHORN RESORT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OF TIME DUE TO EQUIPMENT FAILURE, WEATHER, ILLNESS, ACCIDENTS OR CHANGES IN PLANS.

PARKING PERMITS. Silverthorn Resort provides a set number of parking passes to guests based on the type of cabin rented.

WE ARE A PET FRIENDLY RESORT: Silverthorn Resort is a pet friendly resort and will accommodate one pet at no charge. Each additional pet will require a non-refundable charge of $35.00 to be paid prior to occupancy. Any excessive cleaning required upon departure of pet hair, urine, etc. will be charged to the credit card on file at the rate of $25.00 per hour. Any damages will be charged at replacement cost.

WILDLIFE: All of the cabins are located in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. As such, you are likely to encounter wildlife (deer, bears, raccoons, turkeys, snakes and insects of various types, including but not limited to ants, spiders, scorpions, wasps and/or hornets, etc...). Neither Silverthorn Resort, nor the property owner, will accept responsibility for any inconvenience, injury or death caused by said wildlife.

CABIN FURNISHINGS, DECOR & EQUIPMENT: All cabins are privately owned with furnishings and equipment provided by the cabin owner. Moving of furniture or re-arranging of pre-wired home electronic equipment is prohibited. If you require special appliances or equipment, please bring them with you. Decor, style, color and themes will vary between cabins. Furnishings are subject to change without notice.

DAMAGE TO CABIN/DECOR/FURNISHINGS: Rental guests are solely responsible for damage(s) to the cabin, decor, equipment, and/or furnishings or removal of said items during the reservation period caused by any member of their party regardless of whether the member(s) is duly authorized (i.e. unauthorized guest or pet) by the reservation invoice.

NO SMOKING: This is a non-smoking cabin. If it is found that any member of the rental party, or guest of the rental party, has smoked inside the cabin half of your $200.00 damage deposit will be forfeited. The entire cabin is designated as a No Smoking Area. Guests may, however, smoke in the outside deck/patio areas. Cigarette butts must not be disposed of in the yard or anywhere on the property.

KEYS: Our cabins are privately owned and guests are responsible for lost keys. The property must be re-keyed in the event the keys are lost, misplaced or not returned. Guests will be responsible for the cost of this procedure.

PERSONAL PROPERTY: Silverthorn Resort shall not be liable for loss of, or damage to, any property left, stored or transported in or on or by the cabin, or other boat, either before or after the return thereof to Silverthorn Resort whether or not such loss or damage was caused by or related to the negligence of Silverthorn Resort, its agents, and employees. The contract holder does hereby assume all risk or such loss or damage and waives all claims against Silverthorn Resort, its agents, and employees, by reason thereof, and agrees to hold Silverthorn Resort, its agents, and employees, against all claims based on or arising out of such loss or damage.

COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS: During the term of this Agreement, I agree to comply with all of the laws and regulations of the United States, the State of California and the local jurisdictions. Silverthorn Resort reserves the right to cancel the remaining period of the rental with the resulting forfeiture of any fee paid in respect of the rental period, if in the opinion of a representative of Silverthorn Resort relating to the use of the cabin is in contravention of the Regulations and such contravention is a hazard to people or property, including the cabin, the renter’s boat, or undue interference with the rights of others.

RESPONSIBILITY. For the duration of the Agreement, I understand that I am fully responsible for the cabin rental listed above and all equipment including, but not limited to, appliances, appurtenances and supplies. I also agree that I am not in any way an agent, servant or employee of Silverthorn Resort and will not permit any repairs to be made or liens or accessories to be placed against the cabin without first obtaining the express written permission from Silverthorn Resort to do so.
